WHY HIP HOP WILL NEVER DIE

Hip Hop's current image will die but the core of the style will stand the test of time.  Somewhere along the line it became more about the" Bling" and less about something, more about the style than it did the substance.  Styles come and go but the truth never changes.  Hip hop will always live on with those who use it to speak and hear the truth.

50 Cent's "Candy Shop" comes with an expiry date on it, but true social commentary like NWA'S "Straight Outa Compton" will strike a chord with each new generation that discovers it.  In its purest form Hip Hop is poetry of the street, a lyrical accounting of the cracks in a broken system.  Social injustice is a demon that needs to exorcised and Hip Hop provides the outlet.  Blessed are those who can take what everyone else is thinking and turn it into a message that millions can relate to.  Each generation that comes along will have its own problems to deal with.  Each will develop its' own set of rhymes for the issues of their time.
